    Piranha 3D

I've seen most of the cheesy movies in my day and most of them fall in a category that's within reason for most people to watch. Believe me, I'm not a prude in any form, but there are limits to movies shown in public theaters. How on earth did this one get in there? I have no idea. Other than some fun 3D effects, it was grossly lame in every way and should have been rated beyond an 'R' for its perversion. Who needs to see a man's manhood bitten off, then fought over by a couple of fish, then burped up? Come on... !!! Get real! That had to be one of the most disgusting and crude things I've ever seen at a public movie... and I've seen thousands of movies. I'm still shaking my head. I could tell the audience didn't know how to react, so they laughed... more out of shock and amazement of what they were seeing. Directors may as well make a biography movie of Lorena Bobbit and put it on public TV! The movie was spoiled by the vulgar extremes and unnecessary soft porn. It could have been way more entertaining. I was mostly disappointed because I saw moms bringing their young children in to watch it. They had no idea what they were about to see. Those kids will probably need some therapy! Yikes!!! There's a time and place for certain types of films, and a family movie theater sure isn't one of them for this film.

Can you please explain to me how it's the movie's fault that parents took their children to see it? Have you and these parents never heard of a rating system? The movie is clearly labeled 18A on the poster, the ticket, heck even on this website. Also, it's called Piranha 3D. What parent would think that title is indicative of a film for kids? Your criticism of the film on these grounds is completely irrelevant.

Well, even though I hated this movie they did check IDs at our local cineplex and turned away teenagers that were too young-this film is rated R, don't fault the film for it's violence and nudity rather fault the parents that are stupid enough to bring kids to see this. It's called parental responsibility, something that most parents need to learn. I was fine with the violence, gore and nudity-fact is, the film had nothing more going for it which led me to dislike it.
