A typical action flick. Bad guys cannot shoot straight. Use of shaky cam to cover up inferior special effects. Storyline is way too predictable. The addition os "family love" to the storyline is feeble. Given the gap in time from the original this movie's special effects are inferior. After all, back then there was little or no CGI. As for the acting, well it is an action flick. Has anyone ever even been nominated for an academy for this genre? Stallone? Schwarzenegger? Van Damme? et al. Leave your mind at the door along with your ten bucks. Nothing to see here... move along please.

Dude, your whole review is based on the genre of the movie which is Action, you're supposed to be writing a review for the film itself, and if that was, that must mean that you write that same kind of review over and over again across all or most action movies. I see that, sure this is what you think of the genre therefore everything you said was a part of the movie, but you're still attacking only the genre as a whole in that review. I don't understand why you are posting that review here, why Robocop? Why watch Action movies if that is just how you think of them?
I watch All types of movies. My review is based on the fact that this is an action movie as opposed to a chick flick or a drama or a "scary movie". I merely qualify my review since most action movies fall into the same old same old. When viewing this type of movie I simply compare its merits to other action flicks (even the original Robocop) In comparison this does not hold a candle to Iron man movies since Downey has an on-screen chemistry with Gweneth Paltrow not to mention the special effects. Is this as good as Predator or Die hard movies--I don't think so. It is a formulatic movie and is far too predictable. If one goes to any action movie they are all "fine". This one bring NOTHING new to the table. So my rating of a five is a fair one for "action" fans. Check out my ratings. I believe I score movies according to the described ratings and no more. And dude in closing, how else would one rate a movie? If I go to a Harry Potter, or Twilight movie they are always rated extraordinarily big by the kiddies that like that crap. My review of those movies is based on freshness or newness of the storyline. HOW did you rate this flick? It will be out of the theatres with a couple of weeks--that is an indication of how poorly it was presented. The Dark Knight was a great movie AND it was an action movie. Thanks for your input. I hope I explained my logic for writing reviews. I simply post a review for every movie that I watch and try to explain the reasoning for the score. This is opposed to those who write 10/10 "Watch it now" stuff.
