Not the type of film I'd normally gravitate to. Yet, have no hesitation in recommending "Run All Night" as a pure entertainment. Liam Neeson, Ed Harris are good here, and Joel Kinnaman fine too. Well crafted, believably scripted, fine tension amplification and just the right variation of pace, throughout. While completely in danger of cliche', this doesn't really get there. Liam Neeson is somewhat a modern Charles Bronson, but his range has more scope. Want a cerebral escape, lot of rip, but afraid of mental slumming? This is a pretty respectable bridge. I do find the title a bit limp, indicative yeah, but not unique enough. High 7, in a genre where a 6 is tough from me.
