This great Italian horror classic from the brilliant Dario Argento, to my mind, is even way beyond the horror of Hitchcock's 'Psycho' which seems like a fairy tale compared to 'Suspiria'. This blood drenched tale of an American ballerina accepted into a European ballet school (could be Germany) becomes a nightmare of the unimaginable as the secret of the institution is unlocked. The detail of violence and horror in this tale will keep you pondering this horror daytime and especially night time. Definitely not for the squeamish or faint of heart! This is the highest score I have ever allotted to a horror film.
