    The Defiant Ones

Tony Curtis and Sydney Poitier absolutely shine in their Oscar Nominated Performances for 'The Defiant Ones'. Two desperate criminals escape from prison. This is nothing new. What shines here is their road trip to freedom which they must realize is a pipe dream. A very daring film for 1958 as a black man and white man on the run learn what it means to be human despite the colour of the skin. Cara Williams as a lonely woman gives the best performance of her career and earned a Supporting Oscar Nomination. A TOTAL MUST SEE!
