The Secret Life of Walter Mitty is a feel-good movie about going out and living your life, a message we should all learn. Ben Stiller, sitting in the Director's Chair, has crafted together a movie that is funny, includes breathtaking scenery, and many feel-good moments. The first act may leave something to be desired for some, but that all changes during the second act when Walter Mitty goes out and experiences the world. Ben Stiller plays the quirkiness and awkwardness of Walter Mitty's character to perfection. Sean Penn has a small role near the end, which is one of the best scenes in the movie. There is a lot of humor in this movie, and while it can sometimes be hit-or-miss, it is almost always a hit, and had the people in the theatre around me, including myself laughing and smiling. This is a very charming movie, with the messages I took away from it being really well conveyed. You can't go living your life inside your head, and when you actually to get to experience the world, you don't need your fantasies to appreciate what life has to offer. This movie is really well done, and is definitely worth a viewing for the whole family.
