A not to be missed killer thriller with everything going for it: intelligence, a great script, performances to die for, direction of the first order and this intensity that never lets up. It's only the third time in the 85+ years of the Academy that one movie has taken the top five Oscars, namely, Best Film, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Director and Best Screenplay. The other 2 were "It Happened One Night" from 1934 and "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest" in 1975. The sequels were "gawd" awful. Jodie Foster was very wise in keeping away from them.
