The Young Messiah

This movie was extremely well acted, made, set and edited. The magic of this movie is not in the story or the narrative but in the beautiful and accurate manifestation of the spirit of God. If you are hung up on story accuracy, that would be a mistake because we have very little information of what happened step by step. However, in case you have not realized this yet, the narrative is not the ultimate goal. The display of the manifestation of the spirit of God through a human being is the goal. Judging this movie by that standard makes it very accurate in its portrayal of the spirit of God through the young Jesus. Done in a very moving and beautiful way. For those purists who worry about the story being perfectly accurate, here's a quick look at John 21:25 "And there are also many other things which Jesus did, which if they were written in detail, I suppose that even the world itself would not contain the books that would be written."
