This film is only interesting as it is a re-make of a 1955 film of the same name that had among its stars Humphrey Bogart, Aldo Ray and Peter Ustinov as the three convicts. It also starred Joan Bennett with Demi Moore in the newer version. It was probably Bogart's ONLY COMEDY of his career. The 1980's version didn't improve on the original in the least. Why go through the bother of re-making a film that was very little known and not exactly what one would call a classic? The origin of the film is a French play called "La Cuisine des Anges." (literally: "Kitchen of Angels.") For die-hard fans of De Niro or Sean Penn!
