Greg Araki is a sort of superstar among directors in my books as he can and does give us something to mull over that is different from all the inane plots we encounter in countless ludicrous films. He is an original. Add to this that we have two dynamic female actors and that already sets a stage for something I know I will enjoy! This film is not a cake-walk so if you can't adapt to very unusual circumstances and filming, not to mention some amazing dialogue that jumps out at you, steer clear of this film. The actual plot is on a pretty dynamic level, quite an extraordinary one, in fact. Why is it that the truly worthwhile films are seen and reviewed by so few? It's a damn shame this unique film was not a hit seen by the general masses. Viewers generally go for the lowest common denominator!
