I like long movies. I had heard this was long and that most reviewers found it boring, but I figured it was because people these days have a low attention span or something. WRONG! It was sooo looong, even by my standards. I lost track of what the investigators were saying. Some of the clues to find the real killer were lost on me, 'cause I couldn't keep track of all the names. One of the things that kept distracting me were those captions... It seemed there was a new caption for every scene... We get it! It's based in San Francisco! We don't need a minute by minute expose of the story! The only aspect of this movie which was good was the acting, as well as the feel for the late '60's and '70's era. This was successfully rendered by the director and actors.
