Very different role for Jeff Goldblum - he was excellent. It's a difficult movie to describe - at times it seemed very much like an art movie brimming with metaphor/imagery and at other times dabbled in the grim reality of concentration camps. Willem Dafoe was also excellent as his nemesis. Best to leave all expectations behind before seeing this movie - it works well if you just go with it and enjoy the journey.
