    Avatar

Etymologically speaking, Avatar comes the Sanskrit word "Avatara" meaning "descent". In Hinduism, an "Avatara" is each of the incarnations of Lord Vishnu. Figuratively speaking, an avatar is an incarnation, a transformation, a metamorphosis. James Cameron's movie is not only a film but an experience of incarnation, transformation and metamorphosis. Thought-provoking movie.
