Self-discovery is one of the greatest challenges facing human beings at different stages of their life. EAT PRAY LOVE is an attempt to depicting the self-discovery journey of a specific woman. This movie has been filmed in very beautiful locations in Italy and Bali but in very heartbreaking locations in India. Julia Roberts has not convinced me about her genuine quest for self-knowledge because she fails to communicate the deep feelings of human nature. As for Javier Bardem, he is such an emotionless, tasteless and boring "actor". There was no chemistry at all between Julia Roberts and Javier Bardem. Not bad movie but could have been much better...

Agree with most of your review. DO NOT agree with your comment about Javier Bardem. He brought the most emotion to the screen, with both his line delivery and his facial expressions. I really felt for his character. Did not feel that Julia Roberts reciprocated his level of feelings for her.
