A must see for fans of the series. It picks up where part 1 left off, and because of that it's not at all a stand alone movie. It was okay overall but not near my fave of the series. It lacked the charm and character development of other movies because it really was only about the final battle. Too bad Ron & Hermione didn't do much except tag along with Harry. Ginny's part was diminished and her brother's death was glossed over. I don't think they should have split the movies, they did it to make double the money and it worked at the expense of the story. Glad I saw it, the end of an era.

Would u have been able to sit through a movie that was over 3 hours long? Probably 4? No, I think that's why they put it into 2 movies. There was just too much book for one movie. They even glossed over a bunch of other stuff. Like Dumbledore battling between good and evil with his boyfriend grindlewald. Just too much info. But it sure was an amazing journey.
