I'll travel far to see a good period piece. This was not one of them unfortunately. I give it 5 stars for the costumes and sets, but otherwise it fell flatter than flat. There was no passion to the whole thing. Mostly hard to follow dialogue and it jumped ahead in parts without any lead ins what so ever. One minute Lady Susan and the young boring guy are talking about mundane things and the next we find out he wants to marry her. Then there's a woman throwing a temper tantrum about her husband (who we see for 2 seconds in the whole film) having an affair with Lady Susan and then bingo, Susan marries the rich fool that she had chosen for her daughter. The end. Awful.
