Wes Craven has actually managed to pull off a fairly good movie (compared to some of his other movies) The plot is overly simplistic - it needed a twist - a wrench thrown into the plot that no one would have seen coming. But it had a good level of suspense that was sustained until the film end - but somehow it could have been better. It was like he was trying to pull off Hitchcock, but didn't quite make the grade -perhaps if he had used unusual camera angles it would have been stronger. But the acting I thought was quite good, Rachel McAdams was good as the lead - strong with some development.
