I went with my 10 year old who has watched all the other Alvin movies - he was reasonably entertained. However - you know how movies like Shrek have jokes for the kids and jokes for the adults? Well this isn't like that. From my perspective a complete snoozer with no depth trying to milk more money from a tired and overworked franchise. I found it hard to distract myself from the $30+ I had just spent on movies tickets and popcorn. Do yourself a favour and buy your kid (s) the DVD when it comes out instead of going to the movie - they can watch it 50 times while you read a good book, do the laundry, or watch paint dry...
