A good review, but I wouldn't say that this movie has intense and effective scenes. They are a bit jumpy merely because the director, as most lazy directors do, cuts a very noisy and sudden sound effect with the appearance of the vampire. If it was truly scary you wouldn't need to do this. I agree about the vampire backstory; it would have been nice to see where they came from and why they chose to come all the way to Alaska! Fair enough its night for 30 days but there wouldn't be much prey up there in the way of humans. Chinook has this rated as 18A. And did you not like Blade/Blade 2 and Fright Night better than Lost Boys (I must add the ONLY good film Schumacer has made!)

    About Ad Blockers
We agree. You are not here to view ads. The problem is that we have no choice.

Technically, Adblockers explicitly modify the intended functionality of a website. They are not perfect, and unfortunately they interfere by blocking or disabling parts of our website which are not even related to ads.

And even more important is the fact that we wouldn't exist without advertising. It is the only source of revenue to keep this website free. Accepting to see ads on our website is a very small price to pay to show appreciation for our work. And it's a lot of work to maintain a website like ours.
