Yet another sequel that proves worthy. Indeed this was one of them. Lots of action, humor and love.

Again loved it a lot, much like the first. Slightly lower rating as a little bit of the original luster of meeting the character for the first time was missing. Otherwise, once again, fantastic enemies, cool effects, great characters and directing.

An intense dark superhero movie with a good plot and witty original characters this is a great performance by both Ron Pearlman and Luke Gross who by the way has given us another solid performance just like he did in Blade 2 they are both great movies Blade 2 and Hellboy 2 but this is defiantly the better of the two. Not only is the film's dark nature very appealing but the Golden Army soldiers themselves are brilliant looking and moving. Excellent film recommended to all.

I like this comic for being a bit different. Super hero’s with flaws and feelings. But the movie basically just developed enough for them to make a third movie.

This was a good, fun movie. I do not usually like these comic book type of movies but it was very enjoyable.

Hellboy 2: from print to screen was an all around fun romp. It is an adequate follow-up to the original movie. Wittier dialogue, better action sequences, stranger characters, weirder settings and just the right amount of bang for the buck. Will it appeal to most - no. Will it appeal to comic book fans - maybe. Will it appeal to Hellboy fans - YES! Kudos to Mr. del Toro on awakening our imaginations.

The villain makes this movie sooo incredibly delicious!!! A very different villain than usual. I love the fantasy aspect. Very refreshing. I really like the Hellboy series. And this one was great too! Riveting, and action packed. AMAZING fight scenes. And I'm a girl!

Hellboy 2 was great action packed, funny. Non stop action. This film will keep you stuck in your chair because of the neverending tension. One downside was that the ending was too fast could have been better. Overall it's a great movie.

It was okay. The concept of Hellboy is great, and Ron Perlman's acting was perfect, I thought. The movie itself was well-made, especially the setting; it was beautiful! However, the script was terrible. The plot felt unoriginal, the conversations were dreary, and some of the "plot twists" were predictable and boring. Not something you'll regret missing, I'd bet, but not something you should stay away from at all costs either.

What a piece of crap! The director recycled his visuals, the writing was more than cliché, and the only crowd that would enjoy this are 13 year-old males.

The plot is quite disjointed and the character development is poor. I realize this is the second film but often the characters make decisions with no explanation as to their rationale. I guess the audience is just supposed to accept that they're doing that "because" and leave it at that. Also (and I realize this is really superficial), if they'll spend hours on Ron Pearlman's make up to turn him into a red horned demon, can they not spend 5 minutes to get rid of those dark circles under Selma Blair's eyes? I mean, the woman always looks like her cat just died. The only character I actually enjoyed was the Elf prince. But he seams out of place in this boring film.

My husband and I loved this movie. We liked the first one, and we liked #2 just as much. Hellboy 2 we will watch again, and buy the DVD when it comes out. Great Movie.

Stunning visuals, really bad jokes. If you can sit through the dialog it's worth seeing.

I couldn't wait for the movie to end. The love story is lame and cheesy and the jokes weren't that funny at all. A perfect Hollywood "cut and paste" job. If you liked the first one, don't even bother with Hellboy2.

Different from the first. Fantastical and funny. Visuals are sumptuous and very creative. Fight choreography great.

Brilliant: it's a good action movie, an excellent comedy and on top of that a charming love story. What else could I wish for?

I was very disappointed when I saw this film. Its no hellboy 1. The jokes are very cheesy and to be honest the only reason I saw this was because batman: the dark knight was sold out.

Im 12 years old and , the first hellboy was way better more action. But to me it was a little boring. I wouldn't want to see this movie again. It was a waste of my parents money to me.

Overall I was quite disappointed with this offering. More action, less romance please! Too much effort was put into trying to "humanise" these characters... why? It spoilt what could have been a good movie!

I just went to see it last night and I thought it was awesome! The costumes and makeup were fantastic, and it was just such and amazing fantasy plot. I loved the characters and the humor that was in the dialogue. Do not miss this because it is an instant classic superhero movie! 2 thumbs way up!! Better than the first!

Almost fell asleep watching this trash. Very weak plot. Boring. 24 hours after watching this crappy movie I can barely remember what it was about. Don't even rent it. If you're about 8 - 12 yrs old it might entertain you.

Brilliant!!! Instant classic!!! I really enjoyed the first Hellboy, and this one gives the first a run for it's money! Brilliant special effects, great plot, and not to mention Hellboy just rocks!! Witty, and intense! Go see it now!

I love how they showed what the hero's do when they aren't fighting, it lets you understand more about who they are. Great affects... hope they come up with another one!

This is the second best movie I have seen this month. The action is breathtaking. The effects are wild I recommend this for any super-hero and action lovers.

Special effects, however well done, cannot compensate for a flimsy storyline, tedious scenes, contrived situations and terrible pacing. I was very disappointed since I really enjoyed the first movie. It is a beautiful movie and the characters were well defined, some quite interesting though lacking in development and depth.

Not as enjoyable as the first. Seemed like a lot of the ideas were borrowed from other movies. Having characters sing along to Barry Manilow was a low point.

I thought the film was well-made and some of the fx really worth while. I did find myself nodding off from time to time. Really wanted to stay with it, but the story line wasn't gripping enough. At least it wasn't as bad as I originally thought a film named "Hellboy" might be. I think some of the younger set would probably like it a lot.
