They should have only shown the 10min fight and finished instead of showing 2 hours of garbage before. The fight is extremely over-rated and is not enough to make this movie a must-see.

Disappointing, I thought this movie would be better. Cool action but the plot never developed.

I soon got tired of all the fighting among the avengers themselves. I just wanted to see the plot develop, and then see them defending Good. Too much fighting for my tastes. Not bad though.

Kudos to JW for bringing all these Marvel heavyweights together and making the story work. Obviously the movie it seen through the eyes of Capt. America. Right amount of comedy at precise times, excellent chemistry between characters. Fun filled movie to watch.

In my mind, this is the greatest comic book movie of all time (or at least a very close second) Comic-book film-making done right, and exactly what I was expecting to see in a movie of this kind. Dedicated performances, without RDJ and Mark Ruffalo as my stand-outs, exciting, well-paced and true to the spirit of the Avengers.

Hi, I'm [...] years old and I want to be in the movie industry and I've probably seen every movie that came out this year. Okay, as a kid I thought this movie was CHEESY. The effects are awesome but really it was boring to me. I left the theatre disappointed. Now I say the best superhero movie of the year is The Dark Knight Rises. [...] Banes the best villain ever. Now that movie however kept me pumped. That movie was amazing. If you want an epic edge of your seat action, go to Dark Knight Rises.

Really entertaining... Great story... especially liked how the story deals with how we all need one another for different reasons... love the super heroes movie type... I have seen it 3 times at the cinema for the special effects as much as the cast of actors... always enjoy a good ending...

Being a fan of the avengers as well the other adaption of Marvel's big guns. I was very pleased the way they put this team together via their own movies. Storyline quite simple, action a plenty, lots of screen time for every heroes, well placed jokes and quips as well easter eggs for marvel fanboys. A great summer movie where you just want to enjoy a great movie. I just hope they do a good job on the sequel since Thanos and the infinity gauntler will be involved. When they yelled Avengers Assemble!! That's what I did, assemble my friends and Avenge my excitement with a good summer blockbuster.

Grew up reading comics. This movie captures the magic of comic books... it takes you to a place where super heroes are real and the battle of good versus evil allows the viewer a chance to believe in something greater.

This movie was Epic. It's a movie that you want to watch over and over and over again. This is not your typical hero movie, this is the bomb. Something that you can look up to, keep on fighting for what you want, never give up. You won't ever regret watching this movie, EVER. Well deserved 5 star movie. Loved it.

True to the characters, with an internally consistent plot and liberal doses of (mostly in-joke) humour, a real gem.

Energetic, epic, powerful, Robert Downy was very credible and his iron man suit is a weapon, Chris Hemsworth has the credibility to act this part that none else can, Scarlett Johansson was beautiful, cunning, dynamic, intense and believable, I will see the next soon hopefully.

For a movie overloaded with superheroes who can hold their own, this movie did a great job giving each a platform to shine with no over dramatics. Impressive!

This movie was better the expected because a lot of people said they didn't like it but my two boys and I loved it.

The beginning looked a little boring but surely got much better scenes to watch and it really impressed me. Lots of action of the characters. The one who stole the show was the Hulk. There have been a few great super hero movies, but THIS one is the best I have seen. Hurrah for Joss Whedon! I have never seen a more balanced movie. Through drama, action, and carefully thought-out dialogue, this movie gives every hero and villain what they deserve: the chance to shine. The action is balanced against a simple yet worthy plot, and the danger against the humor. This movie satisfies my awesomeness craving - finally- without letting me down.

No need to explain This movie is the bomb. You have to be crazy not to watch it at LEAST twice. I've watched two times already and I'm going on my third. As I said, go see it now.

It's an ok movie... nothing else was good at the time... lots of action, but not a girl/date movie.

I had heard this movie was very good, but I was still surprised at how truly good it really was. Every character has their moments, and you see each one's personality. Despite that, the movie never feels crowded, and it doesn't split in multiple directions the way so many ensemble movies do. Instead, it just works. The plot, the dialogue, the characters, the special effects, everything... It reminded me why I like Tony Stark / Iron Man; it had the best Bruce Banner / Hulk I've ever seen; it did a wonderful job introducing the Black Widow and several other new characters; Thor and Loki were better than in their own movie; in fact, I liked every single character. All large-cast movies should be like this one!

This movie was pretty good. But I thought that the separate movies were better, when all of them joined up like that I felt like it was just a glob of people trying to save the world, and the people were no one special. I also thought that the fight scenes were too long, the first couple were ok but then it was just like here we go again. It felt like during what is supposed to be interesting I could go to the bathroom :'( It could have been much better.

The best action movie ever! Perfectly done, every character has screen time not like x-men the last stand. This movie is all about the action so I give it a 10 because I rate movie for it's type of movie. Comedy movie is about making me laught, horror is about making me scare and so on and if it has a good story then is a big plus. The Avengers might not have a great story but it has the best action sequence ever so it deserve a 10 in the action categorie.

So much fun! Loved all the different, but original and some great actors - Jeremy Renner, Robert Downey Jr, Samuel L. Jackson, Mark Ruffalo, etc. - as their superhero counterparts in 1 movie. The dynamics of the characters was just good fun and of course made better as the story develops and their camaraderie grows. Action sequences were great, especially in 3D and heightened the fantasy aspect of it all. Can't wait for them to do another one.

The Avengers was an incredible movie! The actor who played Bruce Banner was much better suited for The Hulk than any other actor. Even with Captian America, and Iron Man being the "lead" characters, The Hulk stole the entire movie! Couldn't help but burst out laughing when he punched Thor, or when he beats the life out of Loki..."Puny God" Loved this movie!!!

Overall a great movie and out did my expectations. Each hero was given good screen time while still maintaining a nice story with good character development and flow. The element of humour that was done so well in Ironman was excellent here. The aliens were a little over the top but gave an excuse for great special effects to show off the different heros. While not quite as good as the original Ironman, Captain America, Hulk this was a vast improvement over last years Thor movie. Looking forward to the next installment.

Awesome movie! Full of action and humor! A must see for any Super Heroes fan!

I was excited for this to come out, and then I find myself only mildly interested throughout. The individual movies (Thor, Hulk, Ironman) were much more interesting. They did a decent job of tying the characters together, and there were some funny parts. The action was great as expected.
