I love the quarrel scene between mother and child! So authentic!

We saw this with our school and even though we weren't alive in the 80's we got a good feel for what it was like. We enjoyed all the little jokes, and even though we speak very basic french we could understand what the characters were saying without the subtitles. A very original idea.

I confess, I had let this trailer trick me into thinking the movie was going to be just a light comedy throwback to the 80s. I was fooled. This movie is cute, but it's more of a drama. There were priceless references to the 80s, but the overall mood was pretty serious, and it's just not what I expected from this movie. It wasn't bad, but it could have been so much better. 6/10, and quite generous too!

Very good, Ricardo is a very talented boy. The mother is hilarius, worth seeing.

Very good movie especially if you remember the 80's. The story is slow paced but very credible. Enjoyed every minute of it.

First of all 1981 was nothing like Trogi describes it. The kid used in the part of Trogi has very little charisma. People were walking out half way through and my wife and I knew it was a stinker but were waiting for the film to develop... it never did. Only good thing about it is that it finally ended... flat at that as well.

Il y a beaucoup de longueurs. Pas d'intrigue. Peu captivant. Par contre, le jeu des acteurs est bon. Si vous êtes nostalgiques du look des années 70, vous allez être bien comblés. Des meubles bruns, des murs bruns, des chandails brun et des électroménagers jaunes-bruns.

I really think that the 80's are well represented for those born in Québec in the 60's and 70's. A job well done for french movies, something that we should encourage.

A good Quebec film with great cast and great acting--especially the youngster-a worthwhile movie that does bring back childhood memories!

Un chef-d'oeuvre! Très drôle, touchant et TELLEMENT emplein de vérité... Tellement vrai de ce qu'on ne se souvient plus mais qu'on aimerait alors se souvenir!
