Wow, this movie was an abortion. Whereas the characters and situations of the first film were funny, in part 2 they are just pathetic. Not funny. Over the top and unnecessarily disgusting. A weak attempt at a sequel. Epic fail.

The movie was funny, less laughs than the first but was overall funny. I loved to see Chow and a monkey back. Was kind off a rip-off of the first one, heard the 3rd part will be different, let's hope!

The second Hangover is so similar to the first one. I was disappointed by the resemblance, although I loved the first one. I thought they could make a different type of movie, instead the storyline is practically the same. I think someone who didn't see the first one would enjoy this movie a lot more than I did.

Wanna pay money to see the EXACT same movie in another country then watch this. Honestly it was the exact same premise with just things changed, different location, different person, instead of baby it's a monkey, it's the same freaking movie! The only saving grace it had was when they first woke up after that night, that part was funny other than that, same movie. I hope that in part 3 they at least change it up a bit.
| 5/10 | jer_duarte@ - 92 reviews 5.7.2012 - age: 18-25 |
I personally liked it more than the first. The opening was hysterical.
| 8/10 | countdraculasemai1@ - 39 reviews 7.6.2012 |
One word: disgusting PS: don't watch it with your parents.
| 1/10 | kiribundi@ - first review 6.5.2012 - age: 13-17 |
Once again the scene where they all wake up had me in tears of laughter. Great job on the sequel with the exception of one scene.

Saw this movie a while ago but was prompted to write this review upon hearing they will be making a Part 3. While I really liked the first film, this sequel is emblematic of everything wrong with Hollywood today. It's lazy, it's rushed, it's lacking in wit or imagination and it was made solely as a cash grab. Judging by box-office receipts it was successful, but by any other standard, like taste, or creativity this is an abysmal failure. The old joke in the movie biz is the key to making a sequel to a smash hit is to basically make the same film. The makers surely took that sentiment to heart, for despite that it's a different wedding, a different locale and a different missing person, oh and there's a monkey instead of a baby this time, this is the same film!! Even if those involved had bothered to come up with something clever they still would have forgot one of the cardinal rules in making people laugh, comedy is less funny the second time around. Whats worse, it's evident that the studio had no clue why the original found such favor with the public and became the highest grossing R rated comedy of all time, so they just remade it save for a few alterations. A shame because the original is a classic comedy and by the time part 3 is over all of that will be forgotten.

Funny, but not funnier than the first, but pretty good.
| 8/10 | jordanmahdi@ - 44 reviews 5.3.2012 - age: 13-17 |
Not as good as the first, but definitely better than the rating people gave it. It was funny, and that's what I wanted when I rented it. Maybe had I paid 12$ to go see it on the big screen, I would have been disappointed.
| 8/10 | zygoto78@ - 273 reviews 29.1.2012 - age: 26-35 |
This is a movie that is basically a remake of the first movie. Some parts are super funny, while the other parts are just re-hashing the same things as the first movie. The first movie is a lot funnier then this one. This was a 6.5 movie. Since there could be no half marks I bumped it up to a 7.
| 7/10 | daitam_99@ - 9 reviews 27.11.2011 - age: 26-35 |
Let's face it, whatever you thought of the first Hangover, that's what you will think of this one. This is almost like a remake than a sequel.
| 7/10 | thetorontodog@ - 32 reviews 25.11.2011 - age: 26-35 |
It was hilarious especially the look on Alan's face when he sees the monkey. Real rating is a 9.5/10. I recommend to watch the first one before you watch this one.
| 9/10 | melikehockey99@ - 36 reviews 5.11.2011 - age: 18-25 |
Amazing, I laughed so much that my mouth was hurting after the movie. Very well made.
| 10/10 | cynthia_w87@ - 7 reviews 22.8.2011 - age: 18-25 |
Been there - seen that. Original Hangover was just that - original. This was just repeat performance & I could guess what was going to happen from scene to scene.
| 6/10 | vicdc@ - 30 reviews 19.8.2011 - age: 50+ |
This is a lazy movie. The first was so good. This just copies it, and copies it badly. New location, more stunts but less laughs. Dialogue is limited to expletives. It is blunt, unoriginal, unlikely, and unfunny. No surprises.
| 3/10 | tim1949jones@ - first review 19.8.2011 - age: 50+ |
It was a funny popcorn buddy movie - I loved the first one so it seemed abit repetitive.
| 6/10 | clowaterh@ - first review 16.8.2011 - age: 36-49 |
I liked it but don't go expecting it to be as good as Hangover 1. The premise of the movie is the same just a different location. So it feels like you're watching the first one again and but you've heard all the jokes already. I still think it's worth seeing and I still laughed a lot.
| 7/10 | sara@ - 64 reviews 15.8.2011 - age: 26-35 |
Follows the exact same story as the first, which I thought was both ballsy, and genius; they pull it off nicely. I loved it.
| 9/10 | stanlee@ - 100 reviews 15.8.2011 - age: 36-49 |
Way better than I expected; didn't think it could top the first, but it was very funny. Much darker than the first with an almost mirrored plot line but still very good!
| 7/10 | rylan.isabel@ - 14 reviews 14.8.2011 - age: 18-25 |
It was ridonkulus. In every way it was amazing, and everything that it should have been. I hope they do a Hangover 3 where Allen gets married. As if that would happen though, which could make it even more hilarious. I will never go to Bankok. Such a great movie! Bring your friends.
| 10/10 | darkflame@ - 4 reviews 11.8.2011 - age: 18-25 |
I personally don't really enjoy The Hangover movies, but I went because my friend really wanted to see it. It had its good moments, and I was genuinely interested in how everything was going to end.
| 6/10 | leysan.timi@ - 26 reviews 7.8.2011 - age: 13-17 |
Even though this as almost the same thing as in the first movie, I enjoyed it a lot.
| 9/10 | alex.przybyla@ - 2 reviews 5.8.2011 - age: 13-17 |
This movie could have been way better, it was just a rerun of the first hangover, almost everything that happened in this movie happened in the orignal hangover just with a differen't location, it would be nice if the writers put some effort in and made a new story line, but that's just my opinion, definitley not something to see in the theater... rent it.
| 6/10 | dalyball@ - 6 reviews 30.7.2011 - age: 13-17 |
The movie was really funny but had too much gross stuff.
| 8/10 | ndnballa20@ - 4 reviews 29.7.2011 - age: 18-25 |
I was the only one I knew who didn’t see the first. So went to see this when I heard it was similar. Funny. But was I the only one who thought the kid’s injury was a bit over the top as it was career threatening? You don’t see too many surgeons injured like this. Yet it was treated as a nothing, a joke.
| 7/10 | clifforda@ - 92 reviews 29.7.2011 - age: 36-49 |
A really funny movie. In my opinion, as comedic as the 1st. But the plot was too similar, very predictable if you've seen the 1st, but still worth seeing.
| 7/10 | jfoti@ - 7 reviews 23.7.2011 |
This is the worst movie ever. It is the same movie but with more Asian people.
| 1/10 | t_m_g_g_m_t@ - first review 19.7.2011 - age: 26-35 |
Oh my God how low we fall! This is just a carbon copy of the original film. It's so repetitive that I can't believe they made a movie. You'll feel like ripped off as paying for the same thing twice. Instead of a baby there is a monkey... and I won't say other things because I don't want to "spoil" it but if you have seen the 1st movie then... you don't really need to pay for this one. Get it online if you're curious.
| 4/10 | arganaraz_martin@ - 5 reviews 19.7.2011 - age: 26-35 |
Very disappointing. This sequel feels like a transparent opportunity for the studios to capitalize on the success of the first one movie. Same gags done less effectively. Too bad.
| 3/10 | kvp_afghan@ - first review 18.7.2011 - age: 36-49 |
Down and dirty! This is way raunchier and cringey than the first one, and I loved every minute. Hilarious!
| 7/10 | raleigh1982@ - 45 reviews 17.7.2011 - age: 36-49 |
Very poor. What a rip-off. Same plot as the first one, but set in Bangkok. The ONLY thing I liked about this generally mean spirited, and vulgar film, was seeing places in Thailand, that I recognized. Other than that - I wasted my time and money.
| 3/10 | embury111@ - 10 reviews 17.7.2011 - age: 36-49 |
This movie was a huge disappointment. The first one was so much better. I think they should have waited until they had a better script before making a 2nd one. I hope they don't try to make a 3rd. The best jokes were in the first 10 minutes of the movie, then it goes downhill from there.
| 4/10 | charrywilton@ - 44 reviews 16.7.2011 - age: 36-49 |
Not as good as the first. See the first, it is better.
| 6/10 | expresshockey@ - 3 reviews 15.7.2011 - age: 50+ |
This was a hysterical movie!!! Go see it now!!! :)
| 9/10 | cldyrda@ - first review 14.7.2011 - age: 13-17 |
Amazing film, an exotic collection of great moments almost every second with some very outrageous parts.
| 8/10 | chaosstar2000@ - 4 reviews 11.7.2011 - age: 13-17 |
Any comedian knows that it's hard to laugh to the same joke twice.
| 5/10 | redber16@ - 45 reviews 11.7.2011 - age: 13-17 |
Really guys? Not even 7? I liked it! Saw the 1st one too n was too thrilled at many parts actually couldn't enjoy as much as the 2nd one... I think I got used to some of the jokes so the 2nd time it's better for me... very hilarious to me still... cmon guys it's awesome u know it.
| 10/10 | daisy8782@ - 35 reviews 9.7.2011 - age: 18-25 |
I loved it. I had my doubts going in because I had heard that it wasn't nearly as good as the first one, but that was totally wrong. The change in setting worked great and made for all the crazier happenings during the movie.
| 8/10 | pizzarufus@ - 3 reviews 7.7.2011 - age: 13-17 |
I think the problem was the fact that the 1st movie was not only better but an original idea. In comes the second movie and it was not only the same but the lines were not as funny. Yes it was in Bangkok [...] but still that won't carry a movie.
| 5/10 | michjulien@ - 159 reviews 7.7.2011 - age: 36-49 |
Yes, it's the same movie as the first, but they take it to another level of craziness! Sometimes the same shot happens twice and you think to yourself, "I can't believe this shot happened again!" and yet it's funny, even more so because of the coincidence. People have to stop expecting greatness from every movie, and learn to let your brain relax a little. Laugh at the dumb stuff and things that you thought were the end of civilization, are actually not so world ending!
| 8/10 | dvelartech@ - 2 reviews 6.7.2011 - age: 26-35 |
This was a great movie. Lots have said it was similar to the first one but that's what made it so great!
| 9/10 | gman129@ - 32 reviews 6.7.2011 - age: 26-35 |
When I went to see the first one, I was expecting a dumb movie but was gladly surprised and laughed [...] As for the second, I was expecting to laugh but found it boring, repetitive and stupid. I think I laughed 3 times during the entire movie. Very disappointing. But it just proves that doing a great comedy is [..] harder than doing a great thriller or drama. And you know what they about sequels....
| 5/10 | csauriol70@ - 9 reviews 6.7.2011 - age: 36-49 |
I thought the first one was awful, I laughed maybe 4 times. I gave the second one a chance cause the monkey looked funny. Waaay better than the first.
| 8/10 | brassmonkie@ - first review 6.7.2011 - age: 18-25 |
Very funny movie, the 1st part was better but still great.
| 8/10 | ab0o0di_123@ - 13 reviews 5.7.2011 - age: 18-25 |
The Hangover 2 was pretty funny. The only problem is, it was pretty much the exact same plot as the first movie. It's also a little far fetched but hey beating the first one is pretty much impossible!
| 7/10 | adele_096@ - 9 reviews 4.7.2011 - age: 18-25 |
Not as good as the first, but very funny still.
| 9/10 | bertrandfrappier@ - 2 reviews 4.7.2011 - age: 26-35 |
Very disappointing! I saw #1 twice and howled through the entire movie! This was the same plot, same lines, same gags- didn't work as there was no element of surprise- the forte of the first movie.
