For all of those who haven't seen Aaronovsky's Requiem for a Dream please don't try and rate this movie. What else is there to say but that sball and reifsim22 are right... BUT Hey, I'll give the guy a break. He tried really. Except casting Natalie Portman in that role!! GOD that was a shi- show of a mistake!!! If it wasn't bad enough she wasn't even acting but playing herself, she still has no depth and this movie is a condemning confirmation of this. I really kept hoping for redemption of this movie even half-way through but as for the development of the character into the darker role of the black swan THIS WAS WAY TOO LONG in coming. By the time she turns into the black swan, I mean who really cared or was any longer convinced in any way. Moving on, regardless of that cluster f-- casting mistake, and boring us to death with promises of the calamity of the main characters break down, W. Ryder was great in her role and I hope to see her continue to develop in this kind of role in the future. And yeah, I could totally see this happening at Royal Winnipeg Ballet, but not among the Cubans for sure ;)
