Very dark and unexpected. Although, it was extremely cool and fun and good. Not for children at all. I saw a 4 year old girl and like 10 7 year old boy in the theatre crying! Who takes children to these movies?

It is funny and cool. I think you should make a second movie like it. I also think it should have been longer. But it is still a great movie.

Really enjoyed this movie. A friend pointed out that it reminded him of Akira, and definitely has that feel mixed with cloverfield. The possibility of someone actually acquiring superpowers and what it would lead to is very well portrayed in this film.

Good movie. Not long enough. Reminds me of 1988's Akira.

More teen angst from Hollywood; they've been doing this same thing since the 1950s but in different guises every time. This could have been a "thinker"; instead it was almost a stinker, but the excellent acting saved the day. If the writers hadn't decided to treat teenagers as soap opera characters but as young human beings, this story could have challenged all age groups to consider the seductiveness of power. As a metaphor for what is happening all around us it would have been outstandingly thought provoking. Instead, they only briefly hinted at "the rules" and abuse thereof, then swiftly returned to the theme of "somebody needs a hug." The real pity of it is that the teens whom the writers seek to exploit would have been better entertained by the more philosophically challenging aspects of the story. Kids aren't as dumb as Hollyweirdos think they are. Once again, Hollywood wasted the opportunity to make both money and art in favour of trying to make only money.

Good movie, not great... but could have been deeper character development. The camera effect was... unnecessary at times. If I would redo this movie, I would add the aforementioned, as well as expand the finale: Movie was a little too short. The acting potential from these kids is enormous.

Power corrupts. This movie incorporates elements from the "Where No Man Has Gone Before" episode of Star Trek, and also from "Carrie" and the final action sequence of "Superman II". The first part is from the point-of-view of a hand held camera and I was worried that it was going to be another one of those cheap, lost footage movies that I hate (like Blair Witch Project, Apollo 18, and Paranormal Activity) but, thankfully, this approach is soon abandoned. The story is initially realistic about what would happen if teenagers suddenly acquired superpowers, but the last 20 minutes spirals wildly. The acting and photography could have been better.

This movie is not what I thought it was going to be. Most of it is shot with handheld cameras. It's very jumpy like The Blair Witch Project. Given that I am sure it had a small budget, the SFX were quite good. The characters interesting and the story a good one. One thing of note... everyone in this movie seems nasty. Students, friends and family. They seem to get what they deserve at times. See it as a matinee. I wouldn't pay full price.

CHRONICLE is Facebook meets Brian De Palma's CARRIE and THE FURY. The telekinises these 3 teenagers acquire along with other superhuman powers allows them to use digital cameras with their psychic abilities in capturing impossible POV shots as they record their sci-fi adventures. The set-pieces in this film are jaw-dropping as the 3 friends experiment with their newfound powers leading into obsession and power-mad craziness as the nerd among the group is heavily modelled on Sissy Spacek from CARRIE. There's a strong philosphical subtext as the power of the God's are explored with these 3 ordinary teenagers. This is a great debut by young Landis who his father happens to be director John Landis. Obviously the filmmakers are looking for another franchise along the lines of PARANORMAL ACTIVITY. If that happens we'll probaly be waiting for CHRONICLE 3 to get the backstory of what was in that hole in the ground. Nevertheless CHRONICLE should find a huge audience. Harry Georgatos.

I am not the biggest fan of found footage films but enjoyed the three main characters so much and the fact that they did not seem to have to shake the camera around rapidly to let you know that it is being shot as by amateur cinematographers. That I could sit back and enjoy the film's depiction of what would happen if these individuals were to be given this massive power and the corruption it does to the one character Andrew. There are some great laughs to be had at the beginning when they are trying to figure out what all they can do, and a massive brawl at the end that keeps you in awe. Very enjoyable film.
