I didn't expect too much from this flick, but it was way worse than feared: while most of the actors were capable enough, Travolta just hammed his way through the horrible script. The "action" was all so predictable and unbelievable that I got bored with it quite quickly. The basic theme of this mindless flick was that: Americans can do no wrong, it's cute when Yanks are rude and obnoxious, one American with a pistol can outshoot dozens of "inferior" races (in this case Chinese and Pakistanis), and that it's necessary and cool to kill beautiful young women. I'm no fan of women's lib, but even I must use the word "misogynist" here. What a waste of time and money this was. Most of the cast were capable of far better than this lousy script offered. Go see Edge of Darkness instead.
