There are lots of laughs in this graphic novel and video game reboot.

Wooowww! I knew from the trailer that this movie had a strong potential to be a flop but I didn't think it would be this ridiculous.

Dumb plot, bad acting, weak script. As a gamer I am embarrassed to admit that this is a movie that is supposed to make fun of games.

I don't give 10 too often. This movie is not for everyone. But, those of us who grew up in the 80's and know anything about pop culture, and video games will get the majority of the references. This move is incredibly witty, funny, and fun spirited. A movie for geeks, about geeks (and wouldn't you know it, the geeks have been the cool kids all along) Watch this movie.

It's like a video game, like listen to the Universal scene from the beginning!

What can I say, when you mix Edgar rights beautiful visions and a great cult hit comic franchise you get what you expect, an epic. This movie had it all, great action, romance, comedy and of course edgar wrights amazing ability to connect each scene together to make it a non stop thrill ride with stunning visuals. Bought this one on Blu-ray as soon as it came out. Video game references were a great addition to a great movie. It sits right next to my copies of Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead (the laters being my favourites of Wright)

This film is an original take on a graphic novel. I have never read the novel, but still though the subject matter was interesting so I gave it a try. The movie will likely appeal to those who have a lot of nostalgia for older video games and it draws a lot from this as Scott fights the ex's of the girl he love in order to win her hand. It is an original film, but even being a big gamer, I found myself losing interest pretty fast. If you know of the film and character, you will probably like it; otherwise it is probably not for you.

Um so what is this. If you want a comedy make it funny. If you want a romantic movie okay. If you want a superhero movie than watch one, but some kid fighting a whole bunch super villains and wining to get a girlfriend is messed up. The plot sucks. The acting sucks. To me it's a failed experiment. Someone tried to mix genres and it didn't work.

So, what I am missing? It's a random mesh of '80s and '90s video games references put into a movie that makes no sense on so many levels. I can't believe this movie got such a high Mark (7.9/10 at the time I'm writting my comments)

It's not easy to be the best guy for your couple, no matter how hard you try... Scott Pilgrime (Michael Cera) had once fallen in love but lost her. Since then never again would a girl be the same in his heart, until he met Romona ( Mary Elisabeth) He 'loved' her but she already had a past... seven exes that she left and that still wanted to fight to get her back. Will he beat them all? See this comedy to find out! I really liked the movie because of all the hidden jokes and how the actors played their roles. I would give a good 7.5-10, and mostly recomend to 13 years old and up.

Very funny and good use of classic video game elements like sound effects (although kind of odd or a movie it works) I recommend seeing this.

I think that Scott pilgrim is simply a joy to watch it introduces a new style in movie making... maybe not the most popular movie right now but will be concidered as a great inovative artistic movie in the future.

I really enjoyed this movie. I'm not a comic book fan at all but the movie looked good. It was funny and they did a great job casting micheal Cera, he fits the character so well. This movie is just the whole package and it's worth the movie. Go see it!

Nintendo is the lulluby of my generation. My morality, loyalty, and heart of hearts is a direct product of it's loving care, and knowledge of the Zelda theme song.

Scott Pilgrim is the greatest movie of my generation. The story is fantastic and original (as original as you can get based on a book series), the characters are well developed, the cinematography is interesting, and the music is EPIC. A movie that need to be experienced on the BIG screen but would also be good to rock out to in the living room.

It says it's a comedy... I did not laugh, it was not fun. It was stupid. I would ask for my money back if I could. Stupidest movie ever!!

As a fan of the comics, I absolutely LOVED the film adaptation. They were very close to the material, save for a few satisfying changes that fit in the film's time frame, and the action scenes were mind-blowing as well as well choreographed. Not being a huge fan of Michael Cera, I was very impressed with his acting in this flick, along with other big name actors: Chris Evans and Brandon Routh. Definitely worth it, if you're a video game and/or comic book fan!

Excellent movie if you're "in the know". You'll appreciate all the background details, the subtle references and the witty humor. My wife didn't, and she just liked it a-ok. It's also shot almost frame by frame as the comic was written - which works, but don't expect anything new.

I can't stop thinking about this movie, Its so good to see a new kind of movie that isn't like anything else and its definitely Micheal Cera's best film, at times he was even funnier than in Arrested development. Anyone who claims this movie is bad is just one of those people who only likes crappy humor like Team America or Family guy. This story is so real that even the preposterous fight scenes and video game style of it seem reasonable, every character is original, the girl is hot. Go see it.

Not a great movie. It wasn't the worst I've seen, but it was pretty close. The hero was annoying, story was boring, and it gave me a headache! Seems like it should be a video game, not a movie.

Absolutely hilarious! Certainly not a film for everyone, but it really cracked me up. The music is excellent and the story doesn't stop coming at you with some very unique twists. I loved Toronto actually BEING Toronto instead of pretending to be New York, Seattle, Detroit, etc. It's been days since I've seen it, and I'm still laughing!

Very funny and entertaining movie. The characters were likable, the music was great, and it comes across with such relentless energy it blew me out of my seat. I wish there were more movies like this. Edgar Wright doesn't disappoint yet again (after Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and even the British show "Spaced" that he directed)

100% Perfect fight scenes. All the characters are interesting and well acted in their own right. A little flashy but just take it as serious as a jacky chan movie. There is a lot of deeper meaning in the choices scott ends up making, and it shows that we don't always choose the perfect option, but we can still be happy.

I'm actually surprised this movie only got a 7.9 rating on here. It's easily the best movie I've seen in a very long time. I'm not a fan of Michael Cera, I'm not a fan of ridiculous comedies; but this specific one is a must-see for any geek / gamer out there. I wouldn't know if a non-gamer could appreciate this movie just as much, but it has very impressive special effects, hilarious humour and a very intelligent metaphor concerning love relationships. (thanks to Bryan Lee O'Malley) We all have to defeat evil-exes in a way! Definitely a brilliant work of art despite the occasional "immature" humour.

It was FUN!!! Must admit it kind of felt repetitive about half way through it, even though each fight was different, maybe 7 was too much, should have been like 5... But it was not enough to make it boring, I really enjoyed it. Micheal Cera!!! I love that guy, oh and Kieran Culkin was sooo funny!!! Genius!! Very good music and the references to the comic novel were successfully showcased. Lots of fun, but only for those who can turn their brains off for a while... like me!
