Abbotsford

This is a good rehash of Mad Max with Mel Gibson or Water World with Kevin Costner. It's a bleak futuristic world full of desperation and lawlessness. It is a good action movie and has only a couple of slow dialog points. As with all action movies these are standard scenes intended to bring you up to speed on the history of the 'world'. The main actors are very convincing. Denzel is almost Clint-Eastwood-ish" in his macho portrayal. If you like action movies then you should see this one. There are only a couple of non-believable parts but they are fairly minor, and likely are used to maintain the steady pace of the movie. The fight scenes are well packed with some new features and are highlighted by the sound track. You will be kept guessing as to its ending and will be mildly surprised. It does set itself up for a sequel... SOLAR ECLIPSE...
