Cool premise but the way the repetitious story gets told over and over really kills the first half of this movie. Plus, what is the DEAL with Forest Whitaker's dial-in performance?! Did he seriously do this after portraying Idi Amin only a year or two ago?! His character so needed to get cut from the story cuz it was an unnecessary vantage point (don't worry, that's not a spoiler) and just added to the repetition. Also the way the movie builds up to the final scene just reminds me too much of Crash. The build up is great for the last half, that's for sure. But the first half's break-up in retelling the story over and over KILLS the movie's momentum. Half the people in the theatre groaned everytime we rewind back to the beginning of the movie. AWFUL execution. Not recommended.
