A beautifully crafted movie. It does show the "bad" side of Cairo with a sugar coating. Having just been there, I was anxious to see this movie. It shows beautiful place and at the same time ugly city, in an idealized light. The hotel used in the movie, is one of the top hotels in the City and perhaps the world. That said, I still thoroughly enjoyed this subtle love story, set against a beautiful exotic backdrop and culture. I have seen this film maker's other full length film Sabah and loved it too. She is a talented story teller and director.
