This is the first Israeli film I have seen. I was really surprised that politics, internal and international, was totally absent. In essence it was a family grappling with each others'individual personalities and chosen lifestyles while dealing with the death of the family patriarch. In other words, the story of a typical Western disfunctional family. Told in a realistic and loving manner, it was a captivating two hours.
