This movie has to be seen for two reasons. One--for the unforgettable acting performances Natalie Portman, Mila Kunis, Barbara Hershey and Vincent Cassel. Two --for a view into the potentially intense sub-culture of obsession with anything--but in this case-- it is ballet. There are a couple of scenes where people laughed when it wasn't intended because of the ridiculousness of the scenario. There is a lesbian sex scene which some may find unnecessary and perhaps gratuitous. Nonetheless, you will never forget Natalie Portman's character. This movie is definitely Oscar-worthy.
