Okay, so not that I want to bash Julianne Hough, but she really needs to stick to dancing, her singing voice is absolutely terrible. I don't know who cast her as the lead for the female voice, but it's whiny and very annoying, almost nasal. She should really stick to Dancing with the Stars and maybe only dance in movies, her acting is not so good either. The rest of the cast were great, but she's utterly annoying!

It was better than most people say about it. It was kind of dumb, but it had a little catch to it.

My intention was to see it in the cinema which I did but the projector literally blew up 10 minutes into it. I finally saw it and only wish I saw it on the Big screen as it was totally Fantastic!!! Loved the songs but the lead gal as sweet as she sounds her mickey mouse voice was a little annoying for me. But she is cute though. Go see IT!!!

Loved it, loved it, loved it. I'm a big fan of rock and roll, so I say loved it, but if you're not a fan, go see it anyway. I'm telling you, it's really good.

If it wasn't Tom Cruise, this would've stank. I wanted to like this. I didn't really think that it lived-up to its hype. I nearly walked out of it once I saw its dull opening. Once Tom arrived though, it got more interesting. The other "names" in this picture were just wasted. The songs were really lacking, except for Mr. Cruise. I was impressed with his effort at singing.

Amazing movie. Must see it. Better than you can imagine. Lots of fun. People need more movies to make us laugh...

It is amazing seeing Tom Cruz singing. People should give Tom Cruz more credit that they do. He is one of the best actors in the World. He gives all he has to perform well. Puts is heart and soul.

Love the movie and music; Alec Baldwin, Russell B. ; Catherine Z. were excellent, although the promotions emphasized Tom Cruise; Tom C. singing was great; but they should of had some one a little edgy, to play the role. I feel they promoted the movie too much of Tom C., which is too bad; it is a good movie.

Great music and dancing! Hot rock guys! Surprised about Tom Cruise!

The music is fantastic, and it's worth seeing for cheap for that alone, but that's about all there is to it. The story is dumb and disjointed, with multiple lightweight plots that barely interact, and only one of those plots even really ends. Worse, the film seems to count on the very idea of two men falling in love to be inherently funny, which is disappointing to see.

I enjoyed the movie. The rock music brought memories. Almost like a grease movie. I didnt like the love scene with Alec Balwin and the other guy.

This movie was great. Totally loved the music. Amazing how Cruise could still rock out at his age. Recommend it to all my friends. Best part was the 70 yr old couple beside us rocking out to the music.

Tom Cruise's acting is really good, so are Giamatti and Baldwin's, but unfortunately, the main actors don't cut it. Good rock music - takes you back to the 80's. But Honestly, really so-so.

Just a good trip back to the 80s with some songs I have not heard in a long time. Movie overall was just ok but song selection made the film work. I think you had to grad in the mid to late 80s to feel this one, good job by Tom and Alec.

When the movie started I was worried... but once the music started that changed everything. So what, the story line is cliche and weak but the music takes over and you will find yourself dancing in your seat like I was!

Great movie if you LOVE musicals... and 80's rock!! I loved the energy and will see it again. Is it cheesy... yes, but still really fun and you leave feeling good and singing old 80's rock for days!!!

Rock of Ages was sooo CHEESY, it was funny. Russel Brand was Hilarious... I laughed my ass off. Juliana Hough has the most annoying nasal voice, she ruined a lot of rock songs for me. Tom Cruise played an amazing rock star, wish the story was more about him and the break outs into song were a little much.

I liked it. It was fun. It's not, by any means, a musical of grease-esq proportions, but it is honestly a fun, nostalgic, date-worthy type of movie.

Every musical has a cheesy side to it, for all I know. That one is just the same, but it is also a parody of the musical genre. It features music I grew up with. The cheesy story line in Rock Of Ages didn't bother me at all, since I was counting on it. If you grew up with that kind of music and found it laughable, maybe that movie is not for you. Or maybe it IS just for you. Glam rock has always been laughable, and the movie celebrates just that: fun and emptiness. Nothing to be taken seriously. Think "Steel Panther" and "The Darkness" and you'll come close to what the movie "stands for", if I really can call it that way! Tom Cruise, Alec Baldwin and Paul Giamatti deliver great performances. Bad reviews tend to give this movie too much importance by wanting to send it down in flames. See it for fun and nothing else. If you are not hooked in the first 10 minutes, get out and don't bother writing a review.

No Ben Hur, this but darned good fun. An absolutely predictable tale seen a hundred times but done in a lighthearted way. It's called Rock of Ages... not Moses. Leave your inner critic at home and you will enjoy your night out.

Simply great fun. Very entertaining. I will be going to see it again and will buy it on blu-ray. Don't expect a deep plot but do expect to be entertained and you won't be disappointed.

This is an adult version of Grease and it was AWESOME! I wasn't really a Tom Cruise fan but he rocked in this movie. Lots of funny parts and great music.

If you don't like musicals, and aren't into the over-the-top, purposely ridiculous rock-comedy, then don't go. You will hate it. If you have a sense of humor, and are looking for a silly, fun movie that you'll giggle through, then this is a great movie. Don't judge a fish by its ability to fly - this movie isn't intended to be oscar material. Rock of Ages achieved everything it was supposed to - it was a terrific, silly giggle fest. Great to see the actors having such a blast! Definitely going to buy this one - and the soundtrack, too!

THE BEST MOVIE I HAVE SEEN IN A WHILE. I loved everything about it! From the music, to the plot and everything in between! I strongly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a fun night out! Alec Balwin, and Russel Brand were phenomenal, and don't forget Julianne Hough and Tom Cruise! Don't forget Diego Boneta! Overall an amazing movie.

Sure this is a bad movie as far as Hollywood productions. But I enjoyed it for the scenes with Tom Cruise acting like Axl Rose, and the sound track was fun.

I'm sooo glad I didn't pay to see this movie! Maybe it's partly cause I don't care for Tom Cruise at any time, altho I do have to admit his stage performances as the rock god were really good. CZ Jones was not at her best. Otherwise, stupid story with sad choreography and overall the movie reminded me of an episode of Glee (but with a LOT more tongue...) It gets a bit better as the story progresses but well, if you want to see it, get it on DVD so you can use fast forward button.

Who wrote this junk? It could have been great fun -- sort of Grease meets Metallica. What a waste of some good actors. I appreciate that Tom did his own singing -- he's pretty good for a non-musician -- but it was kind of squirm-inducing watching him try so hard to be a [...] star. Oops, I meant rock star. My stomach ached in sympathy watching Tom suck [...] for that long. Even the music (if one is a fan of the era) failed to make up for the embarrassment of watching this badly directed trainwreck. The only one who looked like she was having any fun was Catherine Zeta Jones and even her scenes seemed under-rehearsed. This was the gal who shone in Chicago? The two young leads -- who look deeply grateful to be in the same movie as all these stars -- are cute and pretty and all but what were their names again? We'd have walked out a lot earlier except we wanted to see Tom's torso. Awkward! Booorring!

Did not disappoint. Tom has improved his singing from his bar-pick-up song in Top Gun. Still looks good and portrays the excesses of the 80's to a tee. I'd go to the theatre again and then buy it on Blu-Ray.

Blast from the past. Great music from the 80"s. Did not know that Tom Cruise can sing so well. Julianne Hough is a cute girl but she should leave the singing in the shower. She sings like a baby kitten meowing! I would go watch this movie again!
