I really, really wanted to like this movie. If you don't know anything about the Tuskegee Airmen, this movie will provide some insight to the exploits of these remarkable men. Unfortunately, this movie doesn't come near to doing justice to the real pilots. All of the cash was spent on the special effect... and the dialogue was superficial and cliche. They just had to throw in a love story to boot. If you really want to know more about the real Tuskegee Airmen, look up the Dogfights Documentary about them from the History Channel. It feature great REAL dogfights and interviews with some of the actual Tuskegee Airmen. In 45 minutes, the History Channel gives you more insight into the story of these men than Lucas did in 2 hours. The real story beats this movie in so many ways. The reality is much better than the fiction.
