This film is definitely the Best of the "new" SW trilogy - but that is damning with faint praise. The Best part of this film, by far, is the last 30 minutes, and the combat b/w Yoda and Darth Sidious. Vader vs. Obi-wan wasn't bad, but how do you float around on a sea of lava without being affected by the heat and gas? Story-wise, the part of this film that bothered me the most was the complete unbelievability of Anakin's turn to the dark side. He goes from being someone who is genuinely and understandably torn between his friendships and loyalties, and who is legitimately questioning the actions of his teachers, to someone who is remorselessly hacking down children - and this happens in the blink of an eye! This implausibility is a major flaw in the storytelling - after all, the first trilogy is supposed to be primarily about how a good man becomes evil. At the end, we still have no reasonable explanation for this critical development. All of the elements to make sense of this are there, it is just that they are not brought together in any believable way.
