Being a fan of the book, it's really hard to give it such a low rating. While the movie kept to a plot similar to the book, it ultimatly didn't stay true to it. The director didnt take things out like most movies based on books do, but instead altered it quite a bit. So if you're going because you loved the book, you'll be disapointed. It still managed to have some cool action sequences, although its script was mediocre and the CG wasn't that good. Even with those flaws it's still worth watching; just on DVD.
