For 98% of this movie I would have given it a 9. coppola does a great job of directing and sets the mood using the camera as well as the actors, especially the excruciating but effective opening sequence. Fanning is superb, Dorff is also very good. I felt let down by the film's ending though. Don't know what I would do differently but not fond of it. And if you didn't like the pacing of lost in translation don't go near this one.
