The acting in this flick was very hit-and-miss. The actor playing the French King did a decent job, as did Orlando Bloom with his character. The rest of the roles in this movie, however, were acted very poorly. When I wasn't wincing at the horrible acting, I was rolling my eyes and snorting at it. At one point, the actor playing the evil Cardinal Richelieu responds to a question from Jovovich's character by saying "Yup!" Just the sort of response one would expect from such a character, right? NOT! The only reason I'm giving this movie a 6 is because the fight scenes were quite well done. There were lots of intricate sword maneuvers that were great fun to watch!
