A fantastic conclusion! But not to the Oscars! One stupid nomination not won!

Not my favourite of the series. I love all of the Harry Potter movies and books, and they are probably my favourite series of all time, but this movie still disappointed me. I went into the theater feeling excited, and left feeling slightly let-down. The film was not as true to the book as I would have liked, and the director incorporated too much action, and not enough thought-provoking ideas, (save the pensieve with Snape's memories) However, being a loyal fan, I still loved this movie and would recommend it to all viewers who love the series!

This movie was amazing. If you liked the book or any other one of the series you should definitely check this one out.

It really couldn't be better because of the disasterous Part 1, and even though the pacing was crazy in Part 2, it's a good movie. Having never read the book, this one came out on a bang. But we all know Yates giving it a half-ass effort as the director for the 4th straight time makes things seemingly emotional that the movies are over but fairly predictable. Although I enjoyed this Harry Potter movie, I strongly feel that David Yates was only good for the one 5th HP movie after all.

I think it was time to end of the Harry Potter series on a good note because the kids are getting big and you can't continue the story forever. The movie was the best in the series and the story was incredible. I loved how in part 1 they left a cliffhanger and this made me want to see it soon as this movie came out and it is sad this is the last movie in the series.

A bigger step-up from Part 1, and the strengthening dark contrast continually builds purpose and intrigue in this dark stage of the Harry Potter saga. I honestly believe this one should be longer than part 1, but Part 2 is still good. Definitely wondering about a couple of Oscar nods for Alan Rickman as Severous Snape, visual effects and cinematography. I have to say that David Yates really is not a strong director. He plays it safe while giving the audience a more imaginative view. I can appreciate his style, but I certainly was expecting more out of a substantial 2-parted Harry Potter final. This one can be inconsistently paced, but certainly leaves the audience with plenty of grace.

With the visuals top-notch, and the style completely opposite of what Part 1 was, this finale is enough to be satisfying. Yet stayed away from showing the conflicts of other characters, and didn't provide enough epic style to its presentation, as dark as it was, that it left me feeling disappointed, however, pleased with the overall final execution.

It finally concludes with the way it was meant to be as a movie. The 3D was a bonus.

AMAZING movie!!! Great special effects, beautiful acting skills - these actors have grown and improved under our eyes and I think this last movie shows how much their skills have matured. The plot follows the book really closely, which is a plus. Overall, this movie deserves to be seen multiple times, especially for those who have followed the story since the beginning. So sad this is the last one...

Finally it all came to an end in this saga that was done very well. At first & in between it was a little chaotic but loved how it all came to place. Looking back at the first one and now seeing them all grown up. WoW! Thank you for this wonderful, magical journey.

Best Book series I've ever read; Best Movie series I've ever seen. Am 65, have seen all the movies over and over. This one 5 times in theaters, can't wait for the DVD release. I'm desolate thinking about never having another new HP book or movie, but sure have great books and movies to readwatch over and over and over. Learn something new (or forgotten) every time. Usually very slightly disappointed with the first viewing of each movie, thinking about the left-outs and changes, but by second time, am always quite happy with the movies. JK Rowling is the most prolific writer in terms of quality - and she grew by leaps and bounds with each book. I'll love her eternally for the wonderful gift she bestowed upon this world. To quote a Kelly Clarkson song, "My life would suck without you" and your wonderful characters and stories, Ms Rowling!

I loved the whole movie! But the end was kind of too fast: At first you see Voldemort die and then like a second later, you see the 19 years later part. I think they should have extended a bit the death of Vodemort and also ether taken away or made the 19 years later part longer. I still loved this movie and was at the edge of my seat the whole time!

I loved the movie... it's sad to see such an epic story come to an end! The ending was a little cheesy (how things unfold for the four main characters when they are older) but great flick nonetheless!

The whole series is unremarkable especially after comparing it to other franchises like Star Wars, Star Trek, Spiderman, The first two Predator and Alien movies etc.

Not bad attempt at trying to recreate some of the epic scenery of Lord of the Rings but it's not even in the same class as the LOR. Still worth seeing.

A little more attention on the back story of Snape and Harry's mother seemed in order.

I definitely get the feeling that a lot of the people commenting on this movie didn't read the books. However, I think the movie(s) would have been better if you didn't have the books to compare them to. The plot deviated from the books in ways that didn't need to happen. The whole Bellatrix shattering scene made was ridiculous, as was Voldemort dissolving. Why can people not just die in this movie, they have to have a PG way for them to be killed. Why can no one just fall over dead? The fact that the bad (and some of the good) characters have been "flying" since the first film was, and has been since then, just silly. Also they only showed a portion of the deaths that are mentioned in the books. In all I found the plot changes (or "twists" if you want to try and defend them) disappointing and unnecessary but it was still an o.k. film.

That was an amazing film. They finished the season off really well. Not to mention they followed the book almost exactly. I am a Harry Potter fan, and I am sad to see the series finish! A definite MUST-see!

With expectations as high as can be," Part 2" disappoints. No, this isn't a masterpiece, nor is it a disaster. It was the inconsistent pace, and the off-tempo flow of the film which made "Part 2" a disappointing finale. For most of the film, the visual look of it was purely exciting, and full of energy. It just kept on annoying me that they still don't have the balls to show some of the deaths of the main characters, and focus not enough on what is going on other than Harry's journey to find, and destroy the horcruxes. I felt the emotional impact, but David Yates continues to not take risks. I expected the last two films to be the Harry Potter movies to take risks, and show us stuff we haven't ever seen in Harry Potter, which at times we get, but not enough to actually blow me away. I never got the feel that this took the series to another level, but the level of excitement was surely raised throughout "Part 2" without question. For such a grand scale film, they don't use the budget to take it to next level. The ending, on the other hand, was powerful in its own way, but I didn't feel it as much as I expected to. I think the ending would've had more power if they faded out at Hogwarts instead of just show the 3 main characters, and fade out. The franchise wasn't just about the 3 characters, it was about Hogwarts as well. In fact, most of the films took place at Hogwarts, and the whole story of the magical world was based around Hogwarts as well. I'm not trying to bash the ending because it was good, but it could've been really powerful if it was done differently. As good as "Part 2" looked, if they showed some of the deaths of some of the main characters, and extended the film by at least 10-15 minutes, this could've been the great summer movie of 2011. Instead, as ironic as it is, we get enough good but not great Harry Potter movie, which almost every film in the series is. The blame goes to David Yates, and Warner Bros.

It's really fantastic! Although the way Voldemort dies is a little sad because in the books everyone was watching.

The film does not stand on its own. If it wasn't for the series, I would not have cared if his friends lived or died. Due to the build up of the film, the death scene was too quick to be the end of Harry Potter, as sure give away. What was the point of the 19 years later point. All around a ordinary film at best.

This movie was more then I expected. I was on the edge of my set the whole movie. It was extreamly well put together, and there was action in every part of the movie. I Like how they relly made you think through out the movie and made you wonder how it was all going to end. I have to say though if you have not sean the others do not see this one if you have not sean them, it will not make sence and there for make you think the movie is not very good. Everything about this movie I really like a lot and I would definitely go and see it agian.
