The script isn't very well written. Plot and scenes are confusing.

Horrible acting, and a horrible plot. They kept changing the story around like they couldnt decide how they wanted it to go.

Good premisis, but very slow, the ending is strong, really liked how she believes they got away but really shes they all died, the way some of the scenes were shot is what keeps your interest as it makes the scenes more intense, just found the plot slow going at times.

I love horror movies, but this one was horrible. Scary movies are supposed to keep you at the edge of your seat, but this one was not successful in doing so. The plot was not very exciting.

I think this movie is a great movie I think you should go to see it. Its intense and scary.

Worst movie ive seen in years. It was pointless, not scary, and it seemed like NOTHING happened the entire movie. I cant believe my fiance talked me into this one... needless to say I chose from now on.

One of the worst film I'v seen ever at least in horror movies. I can't believe this one made it to theater. However, contains somewhat scary parts... if your're the kind to be freaked out easily.

This is one of the most scariest movie I have ever watched. It goes into my mind until now... every time I am in the dark room, it reminds me of the movie... whoever made this movie, I can say he has done excellent work! Well done!!

First of all, I hate horror movie but I went up watch with my frenz... and they are so disappointed too caused the movie suckened up, we even get sleeping inside and the best thing was the movie ended up fast. The worst thing is the end of the story, what a STUPID?

It wasn't terrible and it wasn't good. It got a pass but it cannot go on to the next course. Parts were creepy and the idea was okay. But too much was not explained and the acting wasn't quite there. The kids themselves were not that scary but I did like how the evil wins. The ending wasn't as bad as people say. Anywho, I went on cheap night and it was just worth it, so make up your own mind.

[...] YES, this movie is Mediocre and horrendous at best. I had never even heard of the movie when I went to see it. Seriously not even the manager knew what it was about or who was in it. HELLO doesn't that send up a few red flags Hmmm... DONT GO SEE IT? Ohhh... NO I had to listen to my [...] friends!!! The only reason that it was O. K. was the people mocking the film, and they call themselves "filmmakers" HAH. So, dont be suckered out of your money, dont listen to ANYONE who tells you that its worth it, THEY ARE LYING!!!

Please, Please, do not waste your money. If you are curious about this movie because of the decent trailers, wait until it is cheap to rent the DVD!!

This was not as bad as some people are making it out to be. Not a "great" movie mind you, but definitely not the worst I've seen. I enjoyed this movie and don't regret having seen it. Go on cheap night!!!

I have never given a movie a 1/10 before but this movie SuuuCKED completely! It was sooo boring I almost fell asleep! It wasnt even scary. The scenes were messed up, whenever something happens they try to scrambled up the scenes to make it scary! Well it wasnt! And the plot made no sense whatsoever! I cant believe I let my friend drag me in there. Listen to me people! Never see this movie!!! You will regret it if you do!

Absolutely awful. The only horror surrounding this movie is that I actually paid to be bored with terrible acting and ridiculous plot. Don't even pay to rent this movie! Sad really because I thought that Anna Paquin could act... guess not...

This movie is atrosious and should never have been released with such poor production. The special effects - NOT so special!!! The acting was poor. The ending is dull - no suspense. Was this suppose to be a horror flim? I went to see Darkness thinking that it was a horror and ended up leaving in horror that I actually paid to see it!!!

An unusual, horrifyingly fantastic movie. Not the best movie out there, especially since some of the situations are too far-fetched, but there are a few good moments. The pace and mood of the movie is a tad different from what we're used to, which is nice.

This movie is horrible! DO NOT SEE IT! Went with friends and only two of the five of us were still in the theature by the end. The only thing I enjoyed about this movie was the super-buttery popcorn I had.

Ok, as you can see from other comments this movie is bad. But I was even more pissed off because of things that made absolutely no sense! For those of you who've seen it; 1. Who the hell were the people in the picture? [...] The ending... need I say more?

Omg! I loved this movie! I'm still thinking about it and I saw it 2 days ago! Ahh!!! Its SO creepy, and I couldn't even like tell wat was going to happen next! You should definitely go out and see it! People were telling me how bad it was, but ya I have no idea what they were thinking lol. And what is this about bad acting!? What was so bad about it!?!?! The only character I didn't like was Reggies Boyfriend or whoever that guy was. It was GREAT... xept the mom was kind of stupid. [...] Anyway, I thought it was like one of the best "horror" movies I have ever saw, and I've been watching them since I was 5. I'm still scared to turn dark corners in my house! I'm 16, and honestly... it's really good. No joke.

Ok, but not great. The beggining and middle are fine. But the ending! It was bad and didnt make sense... The way it ended sounds like there going to make another one... I liked it but wouldnt bother seeing it if they did make a second one.

This movie is the most ignorant movie ever made and I want my money back! There was no plot and there was that random thing on the ceiling? The ending was horrible and I think that no person should ever go see that stupid movie... it's a waste of time!

It was a pretty good movie over all... I really liked the supriseing twist at the end... not a must see but hey if your looking for a suspensful movie this is definatley in your bag.

Movies plotline started out pretty good. Could of been scary with a little better writing. Ending was horrible and did not make any sense. In fact, I still can not figure out what really happened at the end.

OMG! [...] This movie is a total joke!!! "The darkness is different here... it eats my pencils"-WHAT [...] IS THAT!?!?! I can't beleive any of us wasted our money on this craptacular movie, everyone else in the theatre wanted their money back!!! I mean, COME ON!!! This is suposed to be a horror movie and they don't even swear!!! This wasn't even scary and there was absolutely no plot! They even like, trick you into thinking there is a plot by the previews but there isn't [...]!!! It was confusing and lead u on like someting actually scary might happen but then it didn't. The ending was like a totally different story altogether [...] This movie was possibly the worst movie I've ever seen IN MY ENTIRE LIFE!!! "Darkness" was a disappointment to the filmmakers' community!!! My advice, don't see this movie, its pathetic really.

Basically an insult to moviegoers. How this was released is beyond me. Expected more from these actors, but they also had poor dialogue to work with. A couple of scary moments that could have been much better. No flow to the storyline. If you REALLY want to see it, wait to rent it. A disappointment.

I don't know what these peps r talking about cause that movie was good. It was pretty scary(altho I do get scared really easily) I would recommend it to all the pep who like to get scared!!

Everything about this movie was bad!!! I like evey variety of horror flic but this was just an all around awful movie. I think the producers should have used some of their money to pay for acting lessons for the entire cast. That might have made me give this movie a 3 instead of a 2!!!

Pretty awful. There's so many plotholes and it was just an extremely average movie. There was more laughter in the theatre than jumps or screams. Bad acting, bad dialogue, weak plot. It's just not a good movie.[...] This movie is AWFUL... [...] Dont ever see this you will be so dissapointed! [...]The kids looked like they were doing a flashdance sort of show... IT WAS SO BAD I COULDNT EVEN LAUGH AT THE AWFULNESS OF THIS MOVIE! Predictable/Boring/Stupid... NO ACTIONS! BEWARE OF THIS STUPID MOVIE!!!

What [...] I liked this movie! I don't remember really poor acting either. I saw this one in Europe like a year ago. And to that other person, if you have an accent as a kid and then you grow up in a different country, your accent is going to change. Duh [...]
