An alright dark comedy, some funny scenes to brighten the dark subject matter, not enough madea, pretty much more of the same as diary of a mad black women but not as good, needed something more and a different direction maybe.

Tyler Perry is quite good. His formula is simple : give the people what they want, a heartfelt comedy, well written out and full of good values and tradition. What's wrong with it? Nothing. Its simple, it works and is a pleasant view. It also teaches a younger generation some of the things that are important in life. I love the content... for that Mr Perry deserves a 10. The movie itself however does not offer much more than his previous movie did so I'll leave this movie with a 7 due to the lack of new material. He uses the same types of characters and same jokes... which are fine but a higher mark would have to be justified by something more than what we've already seen.

Similar to Diary of a mad black women. Madea was comical but some of the other characters and scene were over dramatized. Some scenes didn't make sense and seemed to just be shoved into the movie. Overall it was an o.k. film.

This is an amazing movie. I actually paid twice to watch it, very gripping and liberating. Love the way Tyler Perry uses humour while telling a good story involving abuse of all kinds. Very WELL DONE and GREAT ACTING. Can't wait for the DVD to add to my collection of Madea movies!

This is one of the worst movies I ever saw. Awful story, directing and acting. It was too long for too little content. The humor never got beyond first degree. I can't believe there was a fart joke that got reused over and over again, even during the credits. Incredible that people worked on it. What a bad mix of dull humor and corny drama. I felt as if I was watching a five hour long soap opera, full of clichés and unprofound caracters. I found very inspiring the speach at the end of the movie, discussing issues about unity and wisdom, taking responsibility for who we are and what group we are part of. Bravo. But what did it have to do with the movie? It felt like an interlude, unlinked to the plot, that popped out of the blue to distract the viewers from their boredom. Great values poorly vehiculated, what a waste of money.

There are no words to describe the pain that my friend and I went through during the entire projection of the movie. Avoid at all costs this lame, uninteresting, long and stupid film. I can't believe this is a sequel!!!

Madea's Family Reunion I thought it well done and that it covered all areas in the movie. It made me cry, laugh, yell, and most of all make me wish I had a good man in my life. I lovedd it so much that I'm going again to see it in lest than a week. This time I'm taking a co-worker who I feel will love it just as much as I did. Even though I saw it, I'm still so excited to see it again, I count the days down till then. Go See it with everyone you know, and after you've seen it, tell everyone you know to go, see Madea's Family Reunion.

Only see this movie if you love to laugh. There are been only a very few movies that have made me laugh out loud. This was one of them. It is a definitely a woman who has ever been in a painful relationship movie. I will be buying the DVD once it is on sale.

I found it touched so many emotions. I made me laugh, cry, angry. So many angles in life that surface in this movie, to which we as a society tend to keep hush-hush. All races can relate to the various plots.

Many non-blacks don't seem to be able to understand and appreciate the realities of blacks as expressed through comedy. Therefore, they tend to give less than favourable ratings. Too bad. Good movie. Go see it.

I begged two friends to come with me to see this based on the reviews that I read here. They were so angry at me that I had to give them their money back. The dialogue was so cheesy people were yelling at the screen. I had a few chuckles in the first 20 minutes but after I kept thinking "is it going to get any better? " - it never did.

A must see movie. Tyler, excellent work. Areas were touch in today are greatly apart of todays society. Broken families, abusive relationship, love and passion. Best all, forgiveness and hope. I laughed and I cried.

I agree with the write below me-this movie SUCKS I can not believe anyone would like it-I walked out of the theatre! It is so poorly done with absolutely no redeeming qualities that I can spot. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!

This is by far the single -WORST- movie I have even seen in my entire life. I couldn't even watch it all. I never walked out of a movie in a theater before this. I can sit through almost anything even if it is lame, but this movie was far far worse than lame. It was simply repulsive! Repelent! The characters lacked any depth what so ever. The dialogue was dry and forced at best, ridiculously corny more oftan than not and unbearable at it's worst. The "story" was nonexistant. And the "humour".. I feel like an idiot even calling it "humour" with quotes. Worst. Movie. Ever.

I coerced 7 people into going to see this movie with me. I now have 7 less friends! :) I went to see this on the basis of the scores that were given on this web site. I was extremely disappointed... this story was very boring and few funny moments. Four of my friends walked out about halfway through... the rest followed shortly thereafter, I stayed until the end... waiting in vain for the story line to improve or at least to have a chuckle. Neither transpired. There is nothing funny about rape, family violence, betrayal and basicly human suffering... I paid to see a comedy... not a soap opera!

This movie was great. It is funny and full of love, family value and black pride. Tyler Perry makes the movie funny and interestng by making the characters reconizable. Everyone has a auntie like Cicely Tyson. I cried, laughed and felt good after this movie. I think this movie is a must see for black people cause there a certain scenes that help us remeber ourselves. The moments are so powerful and real that I was speechless. This movie teaches forgiveness, love, self worth and growth. The values and morales taught are price less. Needless to say I loved it and I cant wait to buy it when it comes out on dvd.

Tyler out did himself again. Lots of today's issues addressed to all who viewed. I saw myself in this movie and it was not a pretty picture, but I was given hope that this can and will change once I "forgive" and let go. Hats off to you Tyler Perry!

This movie prooves that it's not necessary to have sex portrayed in a story for it to be good. Tyler Perry has given us an inteligent, inspirational, respectful and profound piece. I was speechless. Great work, absolutely great work.

Great movie - lessons learned on life, love and hardships. Glad to see a black movie that is so uplifting and picturesque of real life issues. This one's definitely going to be a part of my movie collection.

Hi everyone this is a must see for all, especially black folks. I am a movie buff and go to the cinema very often and have seen many movies, however this movie really moved me in a very profound way. It made me laugh, cry and it was very inspirational. Well acted, Directed, and a great script. This will un-doubtedly be number one in my collection. Black Parents take your kids to see this movie( Actually take the entire family) and go see it yourself. This is just not another movie it's a great one. Such a beautiful and accurate caption of Modern and traditional black society depicting love, inspiration, tragedy, comedy and most of all hope. Was just incredibly moving and entertaining.
