Although I was never a Trekie, I did watch some of the original shows back in the 60's and 70's. Enough to know the main characters. This was a good movie in that it showed how the Enterprise Crew came to be. The witty humor added to the movie. It didn't take itself so serious like many Star Trek movies of the recent era. This one was pretty good. I'd recommend it for even the "casual" Star Trek fans.
