Wow, normally I find these ratings at least somewhat defensible, but I just can't get there in this case. This movie was not good. I am a notorious softie, but the movie spent so much time trying to technically lay the groundwork for how the Apes rose, that there were very few moments were I felt anything for the relationship between Franco and Caesar... truly a wasted opportunity. You obviously suspend belief for any movie like this, but even given that the storyline didn't jive... not a good movie at all, the Walhberg one was 10x better... and that wasn't great!
