Sarah Polley is amazing! This movie brought me to tears! Simple story that left me thinking.

I own this movie. Very moving. Sarah Polley's understated contribution to this is superb. I understand those looking for blood/guts and overacted action just don't get this kind of film, but for the rest of us I am glad there are producers/directors like Isabel Coixet who are willing to take a short story like Pretending the Bed is a Raft and turn it into something that leaves a lasting impression. Love the kids in the film. Casting was perfect.

I really liked this movie. Good story and great acting. Sarah Polley is so under rated!

What a performance by Sarah Polley! One very under-rated actress! Her choice of roles throughout the years have always pleased me.

This was a very moving film. Well acted and well written. Makes you appreciate the time you have. Consideing the subject matter, it actually comes out as an uplifting film. In the hands of Hollywood this would have been horrible, but thankfully it wasn't.

Wow. I don't know how to quite explain the impact of this movie. Sarah comes out very honestly in the moviewhich was hard to do. Even though you know exactly what the move is about 30 minutes into it, it's compelling nature draws you in. Very powerfull for those with an introspective nature.

Sarah Polley was excellent, but the movie was lacking in excitment. Very honest and sincere.

Great Movie! Most of all a great depiction of how some people have to get by in this world with much less than most of us. I like being reminded of how fortunate I am to have the comfort I do in this life. Polley gave a great performance, she is a real gem. Some scenes were a bit long and drawn out, but... The ending was brilliant, and took away (most) of the sadness from the rest of the movie.

Great "feel good" movie. Very moving, touching. And it makes you think.

I like this movie. Before watching this, I got a good tool of it like a pamphlet. It was very cute and good design. It charmed me to this movie. Is it only in Jpan? I made the list of what I would do until finishing my life of two months. It is very good. It is useful for me.

Very disappointing film. Moments of truly bad acting (mainly but not solely by secondary characters) and the writing was generally poor in my opinion. It's very hard to generate an attachment to a character as selfish and self-serving as Polley's character. Also not believable - conjoined twins are by genetic necessity always same-sex. Also, the writing gives us no credit while loudly spelling it all out in monotonous voice over. Cliche and weak. Not worth your time. Too bad it's a Canadian co-production. Embarrassing. I see mainly independent films and I'm stumped by it's recognition in Berlin, Toronto and? Too bad.

Good idea, not a bad acting, not very real characters (sure, as soon as you decide to have some romance there is a romantic poet guy who has visited every country in the world just around the corner), poor cinematography (hasn't expressed the change of attitude of the woman and her new appreciation of life through the cinematography at all, only through the dialogue) Not bad overall, thanks god there are still people who try to make sincere films and to touch some real questions of the life. But could be much better.

This movie is a must-see! And anyone can see it, it's not just a chick flick! Sad, but beautiful, and the acting was superb.

I really liked the movie, it's pace was perfect and the scenic beauty was awesome and very well captured. The message I found was amazing about how one should just flow with life. A good see.

I liked the movie. It was very sad, but it conveyed its ideas well. The acting was very good as well.
