The two protagonists were too isolated in their own little world. Where was Patsy's mother/father in the early scenes? Where was her husband in the later scenes? She was even sleeping alone! Where were her children, especially after she chided Francesca for being childless? And just because she lives in a small town doesnt mean she has to dress in oversized plaid shirts all the time.
