I have to confess that first of all I'm old enough to remember Marilyn in her hey day but then, as now, I was never a fan. To be fair she wasn't given many decent movie roles to play. But I thought she was basically an over rated product of way too much publicity for precious little talent. That said I went to this movie hoping it might be interesting from a historical story behind the story perspective. I like many others was impressed with Michelle Williams portrayal. I also thought the rest of the cast, as well as the photography and set design were fine. But the story, the script writing was at best mediocre and at worst predictable if not downright boring. It had the feel of a so so made for TV movie. I saw it on a rainy cold afternoon and I guess it served its purpose as a not too unpleasant pass time, but just barely. The popcorn was good.
