Every bit the masterpiece we all hoped for and expected after seeing the first two of this trilogy, Return of the King does not let down in any respect. If anything this third movie is more emotionally involved than the first two, the heartache more tragic and the heroism more poignant. Some might find the end of the film tedious due to it's extended wind down, but in truth it is wrapping up a ten hour movie, so the time taken is most apt. There could be no greater injustice than this movie NOT winning the Oscar for best picture.
