I liked this movie. Interested as I've been reading a lot of Faulkner lately and he writes mostly about the south and thus class differences. Now, as much as I appreciate understated (and I really do), for some reason, I felt that this movie lacked a bit of 'punch' if you will. Didn't have much edge but equally wasn't too sappy so I guess it evens out... lol. It would of got a 9 or 10 if it did. That being said, still better than most films being churned out lately. I did get a lil misty at times and that hasn't happened since probably Blue Valentine.
