I read the three novels and saw the three Swedish films and thought the whole thing was excellent. I figured no-one would outshine Noomi Rapace, and in my view that still stands. Having said that, Rooney Mara does an excellent job playing Lisbeth Salander, and so does Daniel Craig - both excellent in their respective parts. At first I was annoyed that Hollywood had the audacity to try to "better" the Swedish productions of this Trilogy, but I have to say they did a fine job. You won't be disappointed if you are a fan of Stieg Larsson's three Novels, I assure you. Hollywood could have eased off on the graffic rape scene; it's unfortunate that we have to be privy to every detail of debauchery, yet maybe it needs to be exposed in all its hideous cruelty so that people can really see what is at stake here, as there are so many rapes in society. Prepare yourself, this is pretty "hard-core" and realistic for most people. Not for the squeamish.
