This was a silly comedy, in the sense that you laugh at least as much at the movie that you laugh at the jokes. The Campaign will not be remembered for any reason whatsoever.

HAHA it was so funny, I laughed so much through the movie, U really shouldn't miss it and the ending was pretty good.
| 8/10 | danny@ - 14 reviews 21.11.2012 - age: 13-17 |
I was surprised that I enjoyed it. We wanted to watch a comedy and a movie that wasn't hard to follow. We weren't in the mood for car chases and shootings. It would be better if I had not watched so many trailers. Like all the actors and actresses.
| 7/10 | idonda@ - 35 reviews 16.11.2012 - age: 50+ |
Pretty funny but no classic. A few more laughs than those in the trailer.
| 7/10 | smashing10@ - 5 reviews 12.10.2012 - age: 26-35 |
This movie was not as funny as I imagined, I think the only part of the movie that was really funny for me was just Marty Huggins role.
| 4/10 | nnovelletto@ - 4 reviews 5.10.2012 - age: 13-17 |
I really enjoyed this movie! I certainly didn't go in with "Oscar winning" expectation and I laughed through the whole movie! Funny cast, hilarious subject matter-- worth seeing if you're looking for a funny night at the movies!
| 7/10 | ire_as@ - 2 reviews 30.9.2012 - age: 26-35 |
I loved this movie. I didn't go into this movie expecting anything other than a silly film filled with bizarre and hilarious comedy. I was not disappointed.
| 10/10 | artist@ - first review 28.9.2012 - age: 26-35 |
A poor effort. I expected more from this cast. Political comedy is hard to pull-off and this production just fell flat.
| 3/10 | highlandheart68@ - 16 reviews 25.9.2012 - age: 36-49 |
This movie had some funny moments, but these actors could be much funnier. It was just ok in the end.
| 6/10 | ditiberia@ - 81 reviews 24.9.2012 - age: 36-49 |
I loved this movie, it was absolutly hillarious! (:

I've never seen a ridiculous movie for a long time!!!
| 1/10 | weezy@ - first review 23.9.2012 - age: 36-49 |
A waste of time. A low-brow effort produced by Republican-haters. Propaganda.
| 1/10 | brian@ - first review 19.9.2012 - age: 36-49 |
Use severe bad language for humor. Warning. Not for children, grandparents, etc. Great movies like Gladiator, Titanic don't use offensive language.
| 6/10 | gfost@ - first review 16.9.2012 |
Do not waste your money! Def the worst movie I have watched this year!
| 1/10 | kbaxter@ - first review 15.9.2012 - age: 36-49 |
Not worth the ticket price. Oh well, not every movie can please everybody. The sexual scenes were boring, I guess, the director tried to spice the plot up.
| 4/10 | karinmichael@ - 8 reviews 11.9.2012 - age: 50+ |
Kinda just jokes here and there not a regular Will Ferrell movie.
| 5/10 | dylanswed@ - 2 reviews 11.9.2012 - age: 18-25 |
While there are some funny moments in the movie, the overall film is not worth the price of admission. The 2 lead actors did not put a lot of effort into their characters. Zach's characterization of an effeminate heterosexual was akin to many performances I see at our local amateur theatre.
| 5/10 | gramcconnell@ - 2 reviews 11.9.2012 - age: 36-49 |
I thought it would be funnier. I went to see it cause I saw there were pugs in it hahaha. Overall it was an ok movie; not enough funny moments.
| 6/10 | georgiana.stroe@ - 84 reviews 10.9.2012 - age: 26-35 |
There were very few funny parts. Mind you I did laugh pretty hard at the funny parts so for that I felt like I at least got my moneys worth. But I was expecting it to be much better.
| 6/10 | ssop@ - 16 reviews 10.9.2012 - age: 36-49 |
This movie is very funny! I had a good time watching Will and Zach committing so many low acts to win the elections.
| 7/10 | sophie.mathieu.sm@ - 23 reviews 10.9.2012 - age: 18-25 |
I mean, I liked it, but is just wasn't funny enough.
| 6/10 | goosebumps84@ - 187 reviews 9.9.2012 - age: 13-17 |
Bad language, crass humor, nothing worth while to take away from this movie.
| 1/10 | alsymak@ - first review 8.9.2012 - age: 50+ |
Worth seeing if you like classic Ferrell! Lots of laughs, a good time. It's a shame that the promos on TV spoil some of the best scenes.
| 7/10 | -nan@ - 3 reviews 8.9.2012 - age: 50+ |
One of Will Ferrell's worst, very offensive even disgusting.
| 3/10 | trscts@ - first review 7.9.2012 - age: 50+ |
Very awful movie - bad language, etc. & especially not worthwhile to be shown for the senior's movie.
| 3/10 | cdnorchid@ - first review 6.9.2012 - age: 50+ |
Easy to watch but there are stupid jokes and the plot is not interesting.
| 5/10 | lapidit@ - 3 reviews 5.9.2012 - age: 50+ |
Hilarious and so true. A must see for Ferrell and Galifianakis fans. Any one with a sense of humour will enjoy this whether they are left or right wing or dead centre!
| 9/10 | venasilliphant@ - 72 reviews 2.9.2012 - age: 50+ |
I like Will Ferrel's sense of humor and delivery normally, but this was just OK. A few good laughs, an ok story, just more of the same this year, it seems, ok, ok, ok. Certainly not the movie to leave an impression this year either. But it's ok.
| 6/10 | robert-kralj@ - 186 reviews 1.9.2012 - age: 36-49 |
I usually laugh but not this time, Will Ferrell could have been paired with a better actor, the story was plain and dull, I left early to see better one.
| 6/10 | yvon412001@ - 13 reviews 1.9.2012 - age: 50+ |
I am not a huge fan of Will Ferrell, but I liked him in this, and I thought the movie is a great satire of American politics. A lot of huge unexpected laughs.
| 7/10 | domo912@ - 16 reviews 1.9.2012 - age: 36-49 |
Don't like Will too much anymore, but this show made me laugh lots, go see it:)
| 8/10 | erickthered70@ - 2 reviews 31.8.2012 - age: 36-49 |
Awful!! Too much vulgarity and I would almost call it "near porno"... I went with a 75 year old lady and was not happy with the choice of this movie... very offensive!!
| 1/10 | cydalcazar@ - first review 31.8.2012 - age: 36-49 |
HIGH-LARIOUS!!! Very funny. And they were spot on because ALL their ridiculous and raunchy antics, were plausible thanks to todays "politicians" who have committed so much of the deviant scenarios played out by Farrell's and Galifankis's characters.
| 7/10 | tommydawolf@ - 6 reviews 30.8.2012 - age: 50+ |
Certainly isn't Will or Zach's best - it had potential but fell very short.
| 6/10 | barbarafarr@ - first review 29.8.2012 - age: 36-49 |
Great movie. Made me laugh through out the whole movie. Worth spending money one.
| 8/10 | tyrules@ - 7 reviews 28.8.2012 - age: 18-25 |
Very, funny; my date and myself laughed out loud many times and surprisingly cried at the end.
| 9/10 | mark400400@ - 8 reviews 27.8.2012 - age: 50+ |
I did not expect much from this movie except some jokes and a couple laughs. The movie ending up being hilarious and the plot was also decent. The movie kept you guessing. Definitely go see it if you are a fan of the actors.
| 7/10 | danii@ - first review 27.8.2012 - age: 13-17 |
Was not funny as it could have been. Script was lacking. This is not a movie or would suggest seeing at the theatre. Possibly a rental Dylan McDermott did a great job in the role as a campaign manager.
| 5/10 | adamlancaster@ - 2 reviews 27.8.2012 - age: 26-35 |
Hilarious! Four of us went, we all loved it. We kept quoting the movie for days after. I'm a big fan of both actors and they delivered exactly what I expected: crude humor and exceptionally awkward characters. Loved it.
| 8/10 | ronei@ - 7 reviews 26.8.2012 - age: 36-49 |
My review for The Campaign I really enjoyed this political comedy. It may not be anything spectacular, but it does entertain and delivers many laughs. I liked Will Ferrell's portrayal of the arrogant, incumbent, jerky N. C. congressman, running up against Zack Galifianakis who does a great job of playing a prissy, inept business owner. The movie's storyline is keenly interesting, though as you will soon find out, it's quite off the wall too. I admit it was pretty funny to see a crazy cutthroat battle ensue between the two men... lots of wild action with the most absurd situations that you could imagine. There are plenty of jokes throughout the flick that are clever and amusing, but some of them fall flat. Aside from that, there's a great supporting cast including the "well knowns" which is a pleasant surprise. Dylan McDermott's intense yet suspicious character as Galifianakis's campaign manager was able to get some laughs as well. He plays the role perfectly, and his lines are sometimes the best ones. Also, most scenes with Dan Aykroyd and John Lithgow as the ruthless Motch brothers was quite entertaining. I have to say Katherine LaNasa and Sarah Baker are quite good too as the campaign wives. Even the dogs are funny. Other than that, I find this picture is somewhat relative with the upcoming presidential elections, and I feel it helps to take the edge off of the brutality of the whole Obama vs. Romney affair. However, this is one of those films that you'll either love or hate. There's lots of raunchy humor, vulgarity, as well as lots of foul language. Overall, if you just want to see something simple that will make you laugh and not take too seriously, then definitely see this one.

Following review of the comments provided, we went in to see this movie and give it a fair chance. We had some good laughs and found it entertaining. We were not disappointed with the storyline (at least it made sense) Truly enjoyed it for what it is and few laughs we got out of it.
| 7/10 | frannyd@ - first review 25.8.2012 - age: 36-49 |
I thought it would be way funnier... a few funny parts... but was pretty bored at one point and thought about leaving.
| 5/10 | kaminajane@ - first review 24.8.2012 - age: 26-35 |
It wasn't as funny as I hoped. There were a few funny moments, but considering how much I liked the actors, found it disappointing overall.
| 6/10 | foxteresa654@ - first review 24.8.2012 - age: 50+ |
Figured it would have been much funnier. Save your money and rent it when available or just watch the trailer.
| 6/10 | drairie75@ - first review 22.8.2012 - age: 36-49 |
Good premise re: political corruption, unfortunately presented through use of crude humour and language. In many places, embarrassed to be even in theatre. Hopefully, Will Ferrel can find a better script worthy of his comedic talent.

The disrespect to Jesus Christ was unacceptable. We decided to leave soon after the movie started.
